Grazie Emme per i buoni commenti.

Hai scritto:

"Gli lascio montare il trampolino là’ is grammatically correct, but has another meaning: I would translate it as ‘I let him assemble the trampoline there’. "

Sorry, I thought what you wanted to say was:
‘I let the children climb on the trampoline in the garden’
and that was what I reformulated in Italian as ‘Lascio che i bambini salgano sul trampolino nel mio giardino’. The verb ‘montare’ means both ‘climb’ and ‘assemble/put together’ and in this sentence both might be possible.

With the meaning of ‘I let the children assemble (put together) the trampoline in my gardern’ your initial sentence ‘Lascio montare ai bambini il trampolino nel mio giardino’ is not wrong but clumsy.
I would change the sentence in this case as well: ‘Lascio che i bambini montino il trampolino nel mio giardino’.
I’m not sure, but I think I normally use the ‘lasciare + qualcuno + verbo infinito’ almost exclusively if the ‘qualcuno’ is a pronoun, otherwise I would use a secondary sentence with ‘CHE + congiuntivo’.

In the following examples I would say
‘Gli lascio guardare la tv’ and NOT ‘lascio mio figlio guardare la tv’. I might also say ‘lascio che mio figlio guardi la tv’.

‘Le faccio lavare il bucato’ and NOT ‘faccio mia figlia lavare il bucato’. I might also say ‘chiedo a mia figlia di lavare il bucato’.

‘La lascia stare fuori fino a tardi la sera’ and NOT ‘lascia sua figlia stare fuori fino a tardi la sera’. I might also say ‘lascia che sua figlia stia fuori fino a tardi la sera’.

Other examples:

‘I miei genitori mi lasciano andare in vacanza al mare con i miei amici’ (My parents let me go on holiday to the seaside with my friends)
‘Ti fa fare i compiti tutti i giorni?’ (Does she make you do your homework every day?)
‘Le facciamo scrivere alla nonna ogni natale’ (We make her write to her grandmother every Christmas)
‘Gli lasciamo guidare la macchina ogni tanto. Ormai ha 18 anni.’ (We let him drive the car sometimes. He’s already 18)
‘Ci lasciano entrare mezz’ora prima della partita’. (They let us in half an hour before the match)
‘Vi fanno imparare delle poesie a memoria a scuola?’ (Do they make you learn poems by heart at school?)
‘Gli lasci comperare un nuovo televisore?’ (Do you let them buy a new tv-set?: neutral/informal)
‘Lasci loro comperare un nuovo televisore?’ (Do you let them buy a new tv-set?: formal—actually it’s so formal I’d rather say ‘Lasci che comprino un nuovo televisore?’)

I hope you’ll find these examples useful.

Grazie Emme, i tuoi esempi mi sono stati utili per comprendere quali costruzioni siano i piu addette nelle varie situazioni.

Comunque - mi puoi scrivere tutte le spiegazioni in Italiano. Le capisco ugualmente bene come spiegazioni in inglese.
