How many months of intensive studying would it take before I can attain advanced fluency in Russian? That is, if I had attained an intermediate/advanced fluency in Polish? And also taking into account the various problematic difficulties posed by mobile stresses present in everything, even within preposition+word groups. And also if I'm a fast learner of grammar and vocabulary. This is just a hypothetical question by the way.

I suppose your mother tongue is not a Slavic one (if you are from Philippines). If you already master the Polish language, it opened you the door to the Slavic languages and therefore Russian will be just "something similar" to Polish with many similar words (but also quite a lot of false friends) and similar grammar. Let us know about your advances!

I would have thought, not very hard, as the vocabularies and grammars are close, though not that close.
I definitely would not start two Slavic languages from scratch at the same time. They are just too similar to each other and confusion is bound to result.

"intermediate/advanced fluency in Polish", "intensive studying", "I'm a fast learner of grammar and vocabulary."
Hmmm: +/- 6 months
