Forgive me if this topic is placed incorrectly, I am a bit new to this forum.

Does anyone know of any universities with good programs in Foreign Language? Preferably in the United States, however any input would be appreciated.

My grades are pretty strong, usually A's, and foreign language has been a hobby of mine for a few years.

I apologize if I sound incredibly ignorant. Any response to this post would be very appreciated!

I would say that it depends on what language you want to study. Maybe you can give us some ideas of languages you're interested in and we could help you better!

Thank you for the reply!

Well at the moment I speak English, Spanish, and some Japanese. Although I hope to learn Italian in the near future.

I've always wanted to go into either interpretation or translation, and I'm skilled with computers, if that adds to anything.

I've read that Middlebury College in Vermont has a great reputation for languages.

I don't work in interpretation or translation, so I'm certainly not an expert on this. Hopefully someone who works in those fields can give you some advice.

Boston University, George Town University, University of California in Los Angeles,
Virginia State (?), etc. What language are you looking for? Some universities have
amazing Romance, Slavic, Turkic, Germanic, etc. departments.
