Hi! I thought I'd start a thread in order to suggest music helpful to those learning Romanian. I will start by posting one or two videoclips of songs, singers and bands which have inspired me to learn this language. I have chosen these songs for the quality and clarity of the lyrics. I am always on the lookout for new music to listen to, in particulaly rock, folk-rock and progressive rock, so I would be grateful for any suggestions!

Thanks for your suggestions - this is great! Actually I already know Iris and Cargo, but the others are new to me - I particularly liked Tudor Gheorghe.

These songs are harder to understand and not good for Romanian learners, but you can listen them to have an ideea about traditional folk musik in Moldova. Thanks for your suggestions everyone! It's good that you have posted some more traditional melodies as well as more modern ones. I think that Alexandru Andrieş and Holograf are particularly good for learning Romanian because they sing very clearly, - Andrieş has interesting and humerous lyrics which are very rewarding to listen to. Ada Milea also has some very amusing lyrics, too!
