I haven't used OneNote much, but I do make my notes in wiki-form, using Wiki on a Stick,
which might be similar. I've found it very helpful, provided I keep any articles as short
as possible, and use lots and lots of cross-linking/indexing/etc. I think the best thing
with digital notes is the fact you can link from one page to another, so you should take
advantage of that. And it doesn't hurt to go back and reorganize stuff as you learn new
material. It takes time, but makes it stick all the better.
