	"Der Mensch, auf den du wartest." in German means "The man who you wait for." But how do I translate "The man who waits for you." into German? My answer is "Der Mensch, der auf dich wartet." 	Just a fellow learner, but the relative pronoun use seems correct to me. However I think der Mann may be more suitable for English man in that sentence. Der Mensch is gender neutral and would probably translate more like "The individual who..." Leute/Menschen/Volk/Man usage 1 person has voted this message useful

	"Der Mensch, der auf dich wartet." is correct, however I would agree with egill in saying that Mensch means person or individual more than man, use der Mann if it's important for you to specify that it's an actual man rather than just a person . 1 person has voted this message useful
