Are you living in France? What do you mean by 'daily use'?
So if you dont practice Dutch much, it doesn't completely fade? Do you have to work on getting it back up at all if
so?
Languages are definitely a commitment!

I think that the biggest key if you want to maintain languages is finding a way to expose yourself to them often (not necessarily daily). I have friends who speak the various languages I work on, plus I listen to talk radio in said languages on the internet or read newspaper articles, etc. It is easy to maintain languages I think and ultimately learning multiple languages has made my ability in all other related languages grow.

If i am gong to learn a language then i will want to still enjoy it when i'm maintaing it, so that should be fine to just
do those sorts of things every now and then when i'm not using it!

Hmm i just checked your language page, and it says your a beginner of many languages, isn't that really difficult to
do? Everyone is saying you need to become quite good before moving on to next language.. Have you learnt to not
have to do that?
