Hej.
Jag studerar det svenska språket. Jag studerar ensam och utan lektioner, så jag skulle uppskatta att träffa människor som kan tala svenska eller människor som lär sig språket. Det skulle vara nyttigt för mig att få folk att träna med! Jag är bara en nybörjare, så jag gör många misstag. Vänligen ange om du ser något! Jag lara mig svenska också. Jag är i A2 nivå. Jag tog A2 klass på Folkuniversitet i Stockholm förra månaden. Nu ska jag gå hem till Kanada och kan inte att kunna ta en klass där. Jag har en handledare på Skype, och min pojkvän på svenska.

It should be - Min pojkvän är Svensk because 'min pojkvän på svenska' is'My boyfriend at the Swedish' I have a Swedish boyfriend as well and although I haven't actively learnt Swedish, I am pretty much fluent in the language probably because my boyfriend and I tend to talk in Swedish as much as we can. I'm surprised after taking A2 level classes in Sweden you made such a simple mistake. My advice would be to talk to your boyfriend in Swedish, watch Swedish movies and start reading Swedish books. A2 level is post GCSE level here in England and to be honest, I doubt if you are actually at that level. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Not knowing if Pippi wants to be corrected, but this "på svenska" didn't stand out as much as "jag lära mig", "i A2 nivå", "A2 klass", "gå hem till Kanada", and "kan inte att kunna". By the way, sofiapofia, we don't capitialize nationalities (unless the sentence starts with the word in question, thus it should be "svensk" which Pippi wrote).
This being said, Pippi may in fact be at A2 level (not really that advanced, right?) -I see all kinds of mistakes even from (highly educated) immigrants who have been in the country for years, who work and socialize with native Swedes every day. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Oh I know you don't capitialize them, my iPhone auto-corrects things all the time. I didn't mean to be mean and say that Pippi's not at A2 level. It's just that I see so many people at my university who have learnt English as a second language and have done either the C1 or C2 exam but make so many simple mistakes. As a student of Linguisics I just wonder sometimes if these levels are indeed accurate. My boyfriend is Swedish and he did the C2 exam and got a B but still makes several grammatical errors like he gets his 'don't' and doesn't mixed up! He claims it's because he didn't have native English speakers as teachers when he started to learn English at school. This could be true because his sister doesn't make these mistakes and her teacher was from England. This just makes me wonder if teachers who teach Swedish are competent enough. I was born and lived in Sweden until I was ten and my mum used to learn Swedish and was taught by a Polish person and although she reached B2 level before she gave up (!) her Swedish was terrible compared to her friend's who had lived in Sweden for years (an American married to a Swede) and had picked passively picked up the language. Also I don't think A2 level is as low as you claim it is. I study Linguisics and German and Italian ab initio and in my first year I had to do an intensive Italian course that would bring me up to the level of those who had done A Level Italian ( A Levels are what we get when we leave school here in Britian). My module handbook stated that I would reach A2 level at the end of the year. I don't think anyone in my class could have made simple mistakes with prepositions after that year. Our teacher was fantastic and in my second year we were placed with people who had done Italian for years at school and we managed OK. Also I apologise in advance for any grammatical mistakes. Hej!
Jag hoppas att det är människor som skulle vilja tala svenska här (eller skriva i svenska, att vara precis). Jag är jätteglad att i förrgår hittade jag ljudboken ’Män som hatar kvinnor’ och jag har papperversion hemma också! Alltså, nu kan jag både läsa boken i svenska och höra det. Jag är intresserad av svensk musik, kultur, politik. Allt började med kärlek för Island men i Polen kan man inte studera islensk på någon universitetet. Jag valde svenska i stället att jag ville studera något skandinaviskt språk... och jag föralskade mig. I augusti ska jag spendera fyra dagen men svensk teater från Stockholm som kommer till Polen för teaterfestivalen! Jag är både rädd och glad. Mer rädd än glad dock ;) Varför studerar NI svenska?
