I say go for the standard version. People from the rest of the world speak standard
French. It is not Quebec vs France, it's Quebec vs the rest of the French speaking
world. It may be cute and quirky but my good friend from France said that sometimes when
there are Quebecois on TV in France they need subtitles. Even in Quebec there is a
tendancy to teach standard French in colleges and universities. Same thing for media and
broadcasting in the province.
