greatest frustration: oh, man, that basic fluency again! - I don't know for others, but
for me, using a language at the basic fluency level makes me feel kind of stupid, simply
because of the amount of grammar mistakes, things you have to 'word around' to explain
(you can explain everything you want - but with mental effort) and so on. I remember that
stage in my English learning and now hitting it again in Spanish, it's
just...frustrating.

greatest joy: being able to read literature in a foreign language (and getting to that
level quickly). almost makes me think about dedicating my time solely to learning
languages for reading (for the time needed to get to the speaking fluency, I could learn
to read two languages, to the level where I can read classics in that language).
