I see that the language learning set "Hugo: in Three Months: Irish" (in the 'Hugo's Simplified System' series - ISBN: 0852853254) is listed on Amazon. It's listed as "Currently unavailable". I find no other mention of this set on any other website...
Does it really exist? :? Does anyone own it? and, if so, is it any good?
Go raibh maith agat!

Hugo was a British company, but was bought out by Dorling Kindersley and now has a more "international" outlook. They also used to do Scottish Gaelic in Three Months, but that's been off the shelves so long now that the rights have gone back to the original authors and the nearest thing you'll get to a revised version is "Scottish Gaelic in Twelve Weeks".
Hugo aren't interested in the "little" languages anymore, so don't expect a reissue of the Irish course.

I remember seeing Hugo's Scottish Gaelic course along with many others way back in the day. I bought the German one at the time...but in retrospect I wish I'd bought both.
The same thing's happened with Linguaphone too. Sadly for the consumer, they've decided to "streamline" and only stick with the cash cow languages from now on. Such a pity!

You could always try ILL at your local library. That's how I get most of my resources.
