Tal vez porque hay mas similitudes entre español y portugués que entre inglés y
portugués. Por eso, es mas fácíl aprender portugués por usar español. Ademas, él mejorará su español al mismo tiempo. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Keep in mind that the difference between Brazilian Portuguese and European Portuguese is far greater (IMO) than that between European and Latin American Spanish, I choose to try to cover both (because Brazil has FAAAAAAR more speakers, but I am unlikey ever to be able to afford to visit there), but you may want to choose one.
In terms of free resources:- FSI From Spanish to Portuguese here (Brazilian Portuguese) Ta falado is a free podcast for Spanish speakers learning Brazilian Portuguese In terms of commercial courses Assimil El nuevo Portugués sin esfuerzo (European Portuguese) is excellent (if very different). If you speak French they also do a Brazilian course from a French base. Hmm tal vez no me expliqué claramente. Lo q yo busco es un programa (preferiblemente
audio) q no tiene nada que ver con inglés. Sí mi idioma natal es inglés, y por es quiero evitar ese idioma, porque ya no necesito practicar más. También, quiero compartir ese recurso con varios amigos hispanohablantes. Existe programas como Pimsleur en espñol? I'm not going to reply in Spanish because mine's a bit rusty. Random review already gave you a list with a bunch of resources for Spanish-speakers trying to learn Portuguese. What they pointed out at the beginning is that you should probably keep in mind that there *are* differences between European and Brazilian Portuguese and you should maybe specify each one you're trying to learn (unless you're trying to learn both!).

Hay un curso de portugués disponible gratis en linea de la Junta Extremadura (España) Curso del portugués para hispanohablantes . También estoy usando el Assimil <<El nuevo portugués sin esfuerzo>>. Ambos enseñan el portugués europeo.
Como tí, me gusta estudiar el portugués usando el español como el idioma de instrucción. He encontrado que me ayuda tanto con mi conocimiento de la gramática española. Hago un intercambio de idiomas por skype con un brasileiro y tengo dos amigos brasileiros aquí en la isla. Creo que es importante que hables tan pronto que puedas, es más fácil evitar mezclando los idiomas en este modo. Me gusta <<Pois Não>> un libro escrito en el inglés enseñando el portugués brasileño usando su conocimiento del idioma español. UT Austin también tiene un buen sitio que usa multi-media de video y audio con subtitulados. Se puede cliquear en una frase o palabra subrayada y se puede obtener explicaciones mientras el video te espera. ¡Bien chévere! Brazilpod Video É muito legal! Boa sorte!
