Next month challenge languages will be: Spanish, German, Turkish.
Topic: this beautiful phrase of Kurt Vonnegut (sorry, I’ve read it in Russian): То, что заставляло меня идти сквозь все эти мертвые бессмысленные годы, было любопытство.
English back translation (of mine):
The thing that force me to go through all these death nonsense years, it was a curiosity.

It permits to study:
-     Personal and demonstrative pronouns
-     Expression of obligation/motivation
-     Adjectives expressing live-death, sense-nonsense
-     Human feelings (curiosity etc)

Topic: funny phrases/stories which make the study easier.

I have 3 books from the same serie: “Italian with joke”; “Chinese with joke”, “German with joke” – there are anecdotes with comments in Russian. It will be a good scriptorium exercise and, for Chinese, L-R (I have the audio also), and permit to study the vocabulary and the grammar. For Japanese, I have a book (in Russian) which propose the funny associations to memorize the kanji.
Sometimes, reading the textbooks and listening to audio, I find words which cause funny association. I like it because it help to memorize.
