Hello,
I'm writing this to try to keep myself motivated in my language learning. I completed a degree in Linguistics and French in 2009 and would like to get back in the swing of studying languages; I've gone on and off studying since graduating.
French is my best foreign language; I studied it for four years in college but I still need practice on listening comprehension, speaking, and writing. I will try to use native materials but will also use learning materials to brush up on things.
I studied Spanish for two years in high school and have gone back occasionally to study it. I would really like to improve my Spanish, I live in southern California.
The other languages I have spent a bit of time studying at school are German and Hindi-Urdu. I have also spent a little time self-studying other languages and I'm sure I will continue to do so.
So, hopefully I can stay motivated and improve on at least one or two of these languages!

Salut !
Quels sont tes buts à long terme ?
Bonne soirée, bien à toi
Kisfröccs

Well, I'm off to a poor start. This week I only watched 2 episodes of French in Action which is geared towards beginners. I wanted to watch it though to see how I've progressed. I watched a few episodes in my first year French class and I was completely lost. So it's nice to know that I can understand it now and it shows me that I really need to be working with native materials now. I'm trying to prioritize my life now. I am busy but I can manage to spare 15 to 30 minutes a day to work on my languages, which I need to start doing.
