Well, I'll brave this site's Japanese character destroying system and post here. I added some extra spaces, maybe that'll help.
今年宮本アリアナさんはミスユニバースの今 年の日本代表です。 １９９４年長崎にうまれて、 お母さんは日本人でした。お父さんはアフリ カンアメリカ人でした。 中学性ぐらいに、両親が離婚しました、そし て、 アリアナさんはお父さんとアカンサス州ジャ クソンビール町に引っ越し まして、アメリカで高校を受けました。 卒業のあとで、 日本に帰ってきて、 そして、 滞在しています。 日本は二つの国籍が禁止だから、 ２２歳になる時に日本の国籍を選ぶと言いま した。 アリアナさんは顔が黒人けど、 日本人でした。 日本人といったけど、 日本で、 難しい経験がありました。 子どものとき、日本でイジメに遭って、 他の子どもはごみを捨てて、黒い肌を触らな い恐怖もありました。 それで男性の友達は自殺しました。 その男はハーフけど、 英語が出来ませんでした。 ニュースの記者は 「英語を話せない」 コンプレクスと書きました。 それで、アリアナさんは人種差別に反対する と宣言しました。 最近私はフェースブックで沢山日本に住んで いるハーフに会いました。 私はハーフだから、 日本のハーフに共感のような感じがあります 。 語られた内容は面白かったです。 たとえば、 日本に住んでいるハーフは日本人のなまりを 話せるから、 電話でレストランの職員は日本人と話してい ると間違いしている。 しかし、 顔を見ると、 雇いません。 それは就職の差別と思います。 日本人から「お箸は上手」をよく聞いていま す。 その人にとって、それは嫌なことと思います 。 有名なハーフのタレントもいるから、 日本人は 「ハーフの子どもは美人になります」 とよくいっています。 しかし、 ハーフの容姿は他の人間と比べて、 普通とおもいます。 完全にバイリンガルのハーフにあったことが あるのですが、 両言語にネーティブで話す ことが少ないとおもいます。 じつは両親はお金持ちなら、高い国際的な学 校へ通っていて、 繁栄して、 日本で、 アメリカの富裕層はそのようなハーフが努め ています。 一方、両親は貧乏なら、 生活は難しいと思います。 アリアナさんの話のまえに、 「英語を話せない」 コンプレクスを聞いたことがない、 けど英語ができないハーフと会ったことがあ りました。 そのひとは顔が外国人みたいけど、 一生日本に住んでいて、 日本人は「英語練 習」のようなことをよく聞いています。 そのひとは他の国に滞在することも難しいと 思います。 下手な英語で恥ずかしいとおもうけど、 自殺は大変なことです。 宮本アリアナさんでツイターとか２チャンネ ルで嫌なのことも聞きました。 「純粋な日本人ではないから、 日本の代表はできません」というようなこと です。 とにかく、ツイターとか２チャンネルはイジ メをよくしています。 じつは、日本はアフリカンのハーフを選びま した。 七月ミスユニバースのコンテストを開きます 。 宮本さんは合格できるかな。 3 persons have voted this message useful | |||

And still muddling along, in spite if being epic busy with work. I think this should chill out before around August this year. I kind of screwed up, but I thought my Japanese class essay was due yesterday, but turns out I'm a week early. Skipped exercise for a day and just banged the whole thing out in an evening. It's childlike and full of grammar mistakes, but at least I got it done.
I have been going back to flash cards for Japanese. It's been awhile, and it feels like going back to an old friend, grinding away on vocab. I don't think I'm picking up a whole lot from native materials, to honest. That and on the trains to work, it's like it's too distracting to read Japanese and look up words, but Anki on the phone, I can just sort of mindlessly tap, tap, tap. I go into trance-like state, I think. I wonder if anyone else this sensation, but to me, Finnish feels like the language I can understand even when I don't, and Japanese is the language I feel like I don't understand even when I can. It's like somehow my brain fills in missing details in Finnish, though often it just makes up random wrong stuff, so I don't really know what's happening. Japanese I always feel like I'm gasping a little bit. I can sort of follow it, but it's oddly exhausting. My problem with FInnish though is I'm hopeless with production, I really need to drill on some conjugations, but I am crazy crazy busy. I can sort of fake sentences in Japanese on Facebook, but I'm just too low level to even do basic stuff in Finnish. Had a minor feeling of wanderlust. By accident of the Palestine/Israel conflict, I find myself with a large number of Arabic speaking people in my friends list. I see a whole lot of Arabic script go by, and I'm intrigued, though, honestly, like, I don't think I'm up for a third incredibly hard language. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||
