And here I am, back in China, of all places, for about a month. Mostly programming, which does take all my energy, really. Did try to learn a few basics, mainly numbers and things -- though I confess, I am pretty helpless here. I do have a system, I carry cash. This seems to always work. Point at stuff, pay in cash.

Ahh, checking back. Still taking classes. Going to sign up for JLPT again. Seriously considering maybe going for the N3 rather than N2, just based on the idea that maybe I'm getting too comfortable failing N2 year after year. Maybe I'll be more motivated on N3? Not sure. Also, looks like I'm getting a job offer from the China division, or should come in soon -- maybe that'll give me a chance to get back to Japan more often.

And I chicken out, go for the N2 after all. I think I'll probably fail, but I'll give it a shot anyway.

Hey, just checking in, spending more time fussing with language forums lately. On ClozeMaster I'm tearing it up with the FInnish, have gone through about 20% of the sentences, but still so many to go.

And JLPT N2 results came in. No pss. Let me see this time it's
24/27/26 = 77 I checked back on this forum and I posted my score back then in 2015 two years ago 33/15/27 = 75 I'm not sure, maybe it's just random, I'm not sure. My listening score is one point less, basically the same, my readin gis 12 points better and my language knowledge is 9 points less. I don't think I have less language knowledge than I did back then, but there were words I just plain didn't know. Maybe I need to go back to flash cards for Japanese? I felt like I was completely guessing through the listening, but I got about the same? Hmm. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Yeah I think that luck plays a role in the JLPT. But flashcards are very effective for vocabulary. I rarely see a
word I don't know on JLPT material. Also, luck plays a role, but the better your Japanese, the less luck is involved. Knowing that I made sure my practice tests had a nice margin for me to screw up and still pass. 2 persons have voted this message useful | |

Ooh, oming back, for fun. Still on ClozeMaster with Finnish, still taking my Japanesee class on Saturday. Situation pretty much normal. I see here I joined 3,360 days ago. It has been awhile. I think I am maybe a little slow, and I've just been distracted by work too. Oh well.
