They opened in December, if memory serves. The selection is rather limited at the moment,
compared to the UK one for example. There's no kindle books, there's no wishlist function etc. But I can understand that it takes them a while to build up their offering, which hopefully will see an expansion over the year. What are some names of some modern popular Italian writers (equivalent to John Grisham, Dan Brown, etc.)? In other words, light, entertaining reading rather than heavy literature (e.g. Umberto Eco).
