LA (terza e ultima parte)
E per finire, ecco alcune espressioni idiomatiche che usano delle forme procomplementari con LA.

avercela con qc = to be upset/angry with sb
aversela a male = to be offended
darla a bere a qc = to fool sb, to dupe sb
darsela a gambe (levate) = to bolt, to take to one’s heels
farla a qn = to dupe sb, to take sb in
farla corta = to make a long story short
farla franca = to get away with
farla finita = to cut it out or to call it quits
farla finita con qn = to get it over with sb
farla grossa = to make a big mistake
farla pagare a qn = to take revenge on sb, to pay sb back
legarsela al dito = when someone is wronged, to remember the injustice and to wait for the right time for revenge
menarla per le lunghe = to drag one’s feet
mettercela tutta = to bend over backward
passarsela bene = to be well off
passarsela male = to have a hard time
passarla liscia = to get off scot-free
prendersela (a male) = to be offended
prendersela con qn = to take it out on sb
prendersela con calma = to take it easy
sbrigarsela da soli = to do sth on one’s own
scamparla bella = to have a close call, to have a lucky escape
spararla grossa = to tell a huge lie, to talk big
vedersela brutta = to look death in the face
vincerla -> nell’espressione ‘chi la dura, la vince’ = slow and steady wins the race.
