The Filipino language or also known as Tagalog has actually a lot of foreign words. Many different people conquered the land, but I'm going to show you some examples of some similar to Spanish language and other languages.
Tagalog: la mesa
Spanish: la mesa

Italian: spaghetti

Tagalog: anak
Malaysian: anak

Tagalog: basketbol
English: basketball
__________________
Sentence:
Tagalog: "Mag laro ta-yo nang basketbol."
English: "Let's play basketball."

Tagalog: "Anak ko yan."
English: "That's my child."

How about the word "o" in Tagalog which was loaned from Spanish, meaning "or"?
