Here is a site on Mari supported in part by Department of Finno-Ugric Studies at the University of Vienna. Among a few other bits, it contains a fully-scanned version of a solid textbook with audio for Russian-speaking beginners. However half of this textbook has been translated for English-speakers with the other half expected to be released later this year.
I couldn't help but pass this site along even though the odds for many people having even heard of Mari (let alone wanting to learn it) are admittedly low. If I had more free time, I would strongly consider learning a bit of Mari as a short-term "challenge" or diversion. 3 persons have voted this message useful | |

For those who might be interested in Mari, the linguistics blog by Christopher Culver, a graduate student in Uralic linguistics, has quite a few entries on Mari and related/neighboring languages, and would probably be of interest as well.
