Does anyone know what assol. stands for in a dictionary entry?

‘assol.’ sta per ‘assoluto’. Un verbo transitivo (cioè un verbo che solitamente è seguito da un complemento oggetto) è usato come ‘transitivo assoluto’ quando non è seguito da un complemento oggetto.
Nei primi esempi riportati, il verbo transitivo ‘disegnare’ è seguito da un complemento oggetto: ‘un fiore’, ‘un paesaggio’ ecc.
Gli ultimi esempi (‘imparare a disegnare’, ‘disegnare bene/male’) invece non riportano il complemento oggetto.
La terminologia ‘verbo transitivo assoluto’ non è molto usata. Era nuova anche per me.
‘assol.’ stands for ‘assoluto’. A transitive verb (i.e. a verb that is usually followed by a direct object) can sometimes be used as a ‘transitivo assoluto’ when it’s not followed by the direct object.
In the first examples mentioned above, ‘disegnare/to draw’ is followed by a direct object: ‘un fiore/a flower’, 'un paesaggio/a landscape’ etc.
The last examples mentioned in your post show the use of the verb ‘disegnare’ as a transitive verb ‘assoluto’, i.e. without a direct object: ‘imparare a disegnare/to learn how to draw’, ‘disegnare bene/male/to draw well/badly’.
The term ‘verbo transitivo assoluto’ isn’t used frequently. It’s something new for me as well.
