I hope I am posting this in the right place. I just came across this article and found it interesting http://uk.news.yahoo.com/38/20110415/twl-study-finds-mother- of-all-languages-6ae0455.html . I was very surprised that the languages with the largest amount of phenomes were considered the oldest.
