I'm in the tenth grade, and have taken arabic for 1 year in school as an elective so far.
I know that alphabeat, how to read and write, know all the forms 1-10, how to conjugate them in the past/present/future/command/masdar, and some some beginner-intermediate grammer. I also speak Hebrew fluently(mother language). I don't know if to continue with that class next year, as it will be more hours, or not. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Also does speaking hebrew will help me next year? Are Arabic and Hebrew very similar?

It seems like you've gotten well into Arabic at this point, so I honestly don't see a reason not to continue.
If you're reasonably motivated to learn the language, then I would especially recommend it. I am not familiar enough with Hebrew, but the two languages are indeed related -- probably not "very" similar but they certainly share some qualities. If you're motivated, then you should definitely continue. You've gotten at a good level and it would be a shame if you didn't study more even if you wanted to. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Hindi is definitely a LOT closer to Arabic than English, and if you already have a good
start then nothing is stopping you. It can be very rewarding to know modern standard arabic and whatever dialects you can learn. Good luck! 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Oh I'm sorry I misread. I'm not sure, Hebrew is still pretty far from Arabic but you

Hebrew is much closer to Arabic than Hindi. Hebrew and Arabic are both Semitic languages, and though they separated long ago, they still have similar grammars and a lot of cognates. Hindi stole a number of words from Arabic, but the grammars are utterly different. 1 person has voted this message useful |
