Some time ago, when I was trying to learn German, I got the Living Language 4 cassette
course, "In Tense German". It was a wonderful way to review verbs, in that it would go through a paradigm, giving a form, then a sample sentence, and finally a dialogue using the variety of forms. The only thing that was missing was a transcript. The course has been updated in a few forms, but is currently unavailable (except as used copies). Later versions were a book more like the 501 verbs series, with accompanying CD's (which was just the In Tense course). I really don't understand why they haven't kept it going, except that it doesn't seem easy and so would probably never have been a big seller. Now that I am trying to learn French, I was hoping to find some audio course which review French verbs. Does anyone know of anything comparable to In Tense? And does anyone else want to share their fond memories of using In Tense courses? 1 person has voted this message useful |
