	Hi, I consider foreign languages to be my passion--I've loved studying them for as long as I can remember. Japanese is the language that interests me the most--partly because I'm part Japanese. Anyway, I'm really interested in becoming an interpreter. I've done some research, but I have some questions that I'd really appreciate some help with. I'd definitely prefer consecutive interpreting rather than simultaneous, but I'm trying to decide on a particular field (like medical, courtroom, conference, etc.). I was wondering: is there a particular field of interpreting...for a movie set? I mean, would I be able to interpret for people who don't speak either English or Japanese, and help them communicate with others, while working on a film crew? I'm mainly asking because I'm interested in working on a film crew, but I honestly don't have much of a desire to do any regular film crew jobs. Stupid, I know... If you've seen the movie Lost in Translation, I was kind of thinking about the scene will Bill Murray is acting in the commercial, and the Japanese interpreter (terribly) explains the director's instructions. It's not a very important question, just something I was interested in. It wouldn't affect my choice much, just require me to look more seriously at other areas to specialize in. 	Hey, Coolguy. I'm part Japanese too, and I'm studying the language. Sorry, I don't know anything about interpreting, I'm really not at that level. But, I thought I'd just say hi.
