What do you think, how can it be used for an IT job?

The most obvious choices would be either be a low-paid call center tech support job or a better paid job in software localization. Many companies and service providers are now jumping on the statistical machine translation bandwagon. Knowing how to integrate the open source Moses statistical MT software or other SMTs into a computer-aided translation system might come in handy. Google "localization engineer" for some examples of skills that companies are looking for.

What about finding a job in a country where a language is used?

English was at a business professional level.

Hi Rekenavri, I think this may be interesting to you: Natural Language Processing. It taps into both your love of languages and your programming background.

You can also do Speech Processing if you prefer the sound form.

A related field would be text mining.
