Shakespeare's Globe theatre have announced details of a festival that will see all 37 of William Shakespeare's plays performed in 37 languages, from Urdu to Swahili, over six weeks in 2012. Nope, uh-uh, NWJ (no way José). Hip-hop (#12) is not a language.

Presumably they mean AAVE. If one were to take issue with that, then they should also take umbrage with Mexican, Argentine, and Castillian Spanish as well. Nevertheless, this is awesome. 1 person has voted this message useful | ||||||

I had thought at first perhaps that was intended, but other articles make clear that it is "delightfully cheeky" American Hip Hop. It is from a troupe which has done similar adaptions in the past: The Bomb- itty of Errors; Funk It Up About Nothing - honestly, I am not making this up.
