I've heard that French can actually be helpful in Vietnam (in lieu of knowing Vietnamese, of course) due to reasons of historical occupation. In Cambodia, too, I think I read somewhere...

Now I'll go off-topic too... or maybe not ;)
Well, sometimes you can have some luck, but unfortunately they look for people with concrete knowledge and abilities [lots of people with manegement/banking experience/studies + English required or both m/b + English + niche language like Czech or Hungarian (these two probably the most, Chinese is probably needed too; though I've even seen an offer with Slovene)]. Unfortunately, I study things unconnected with economy. I even prepare myself for bachelor studies at such faculty after finishing my linguistic studies if I won't be able to find anything noteworthy.
I've considered Scandinavia as my possible future destination, but I think I'd prefer the Netherlands instead. That's why I try to do something with my broken Dutch.

And that's another reason to learn foreign languages :)
