Okay, I'm officially on two teams now (Alexander, I just responded to your PM):

- DE/FR, and
- Catalan

Two teams! I'm so excited for this year!

Sorry it took me that long to respond (like 5 pages of thread, it is growing real fast)

FR/DE sounds great to me and I'd like to join. But if there are too many people and you need someone to help fill the FR/ES or romance team, than it would be good with me too.

I'd like to join a Catalan and/or a Romance language team, if possible! It will be my first time participating in TAC; I hope that's not a problem :).

I'm studying French, Spanish, and Catalan. My French is slightly above 0, my Spanish is around C1-C2, and my Catalan is around B1-B2. My goal for this next year would be to get to a C1 level in French and Catalan, and C2 in Spanish.

to find out if some others are interested.
count me in too, with Karelian:)

I will add you now, Jinx. The draft post is looking good, and will be a thread in the
next few minutes :]

Great, I shall add you to the thread as well, Cavesa. Remember that you can be in two
teams as well, as Jinx intends to be. Welcome to the team, both of you :]

Personally I think people being on 2 different teams takes away something from the point of the TAC.

The team feeling and motivation you get from it won't be the same.

What's the point in teams if we can be in every one? I know I'm being negative but it's because it saps my positivity towards the challenge.

Why not? For example, in team sports players play both for their clubs and national teams :) I view it like that.

You can also be in different teams for different reasons. For instance, I'd love to discuss the problems you run into while learning a minority language. I want to retain my motivation for Karelian. However, it's just one of the priorities. It will also be awesome to interact with those who speak Romance languages much better than I do, to use the languages more than I would otherwise. To help people studying my native language. IDK, to me there's something so great about sharing two not-very-related (or unrelated) languages with someone!

I do think it's kinda silly to join Team Spanish, Team Japanese, Team German, Team Italian, eespecially if you eventually drop all but one or two. You have to be sure it actually matters to you.
