I'm also aiming for C1 in Japanese this year! We may be around the same level. :) Good luck!

Russian
Alright, just a quick update. I ditched the Russian books becuase they've been boring me to tears. I'm working on Beginner's Russian content at LingQ instead. I'm lovving it!

Japanese
If anyone is an Intermediate Japanese learner looking for a textbook, Introduction to Intermediate Japanese by Nobuko Mizutani is awesome! I've been copying the texts in this book by hand, and entering the vocab into Anki. Then I listen to the audio at night. I'm learning so much, SO quickly! In addition, there are concise grammar explanations, and exremely useful Kanji Compound exercises.

French
But Alas, not all is well. I'm pretty behind on French. My other languages just keep distracting me from it. So I'm going to have to make an effort to establish a habit of studying this language, like I already have with Russian and Japanese.

Yay! Just found a sentence deck on Anki for New French with Ease. Good stuff.

Wow, this three languages at once thing is quite the mental workout. I'm right on track and I find that studying is much more enjoyable with a variety of things to study. I study an hour in the morning, listen here and ther throughout the day, and 2-3 hours at night. I don't have a specific time set for each language, I just make sure to study each one at some point.

Also, I found a really fun series on Japanese LingQ. It's a creepy radio drama. And I've started watching Nihonjin no Shiranai Nihongo. Yes, it's a little offensive, but it also has it's funny parts, so I just look past that.

I can't imagine 3. I'm learning two, Japanese and Finnish, it still feels like a lot of language.   I think 2012 I'm going to be taking the JLPT N2 again, so this is kind of my goal, I guess. Improved reading speed and accuracy.

yep! JLPT N2 is no walk in the park. I admire anyone who is studying for this one!

pinappleboom, I know you just found New French with Ease but for Michel Thomas there's
these scripts which have some good sentence material in them. (There's also MT "builder" decks and "advanced" decks in Anki) -- just in case you're interested!

good luck!

Thanks Sunja! That will definitely come in handy.

cathrynm, good luck on the JLPT! And I really admire that you're studying Finnish. Just reading about it's grammar makes my head spin...
