Well put. So of course, I have to argue...but really only to say that certain languages have very little literature...which probably were not languages the OP was considering anyways becuase they're so small and poorly documented.

The Expanded Comprehensive Canon for Eastern and Western Civilization

The Portuguese section could be significantly enlarged, but it's a start.

I'll do that.
It's tricky, though, because most of the best Brazilian literature was written in the 20th Century, so most of the writers haven't been dead for 100 years yet, but still there's at least a few works that could be in there. I'll go over it carefully.
