Back to day 1... I spent the weekend packing and transporting most of my worldly belongings into storage, and then spent the rest of the time with family down by the coast. So I didn't have access to my Latin course or a computer. I think I'll have to buy a little backup Latin book for days like these in future... @emk You're still the reining champion of consistency with 40 days, and it's going to be a tough record to beat! I quite like your idea of making daily goals more flexible, so I'll try to read 5-10 minutes of any Latin text a day (not just the "Lingua Latina" CD course) from now on. Hello and welcome. I also study German (at a more advanced level than my Danish), and don't really need the "push" of the Consistency thread (which I think of as a challenge, since I'm not brave enough to do any of the regular challenges :) ) for that, but I definitely needed it in Danish, with which I was beginning to drift, if not flounder. I've found it's really helped. As to when to update here: I believe it's a personal choice, although I did see it suggested to do it every day, and for me, the thought of having to come on here and publicly record my progress is quite an incentive (and also a reminder) to getting it done each day!
