I finally met the past tense in German (and no longer have to limit myself to living in the now). @tsopivo welcome on board! Your goal of 20 minutes a day seems perfectly reasonable and achievable to me. You will now be able to read short stories, graded readers, and maybe novels, if you want to. The preterite (simple past), especially in strong/irregular verbs was a bit of a culture shock to me, when I first met it in graded readers. I'm quite fond of it now though. I have tried it today but I am not really convinced so far. I have watched the 1st episode and on a 27 mn video, I would say there was roughly 20 mn of English and 7 mn of Spanish and those 7 mn where not even only conversations between the caracters but mostly the narrator and the lawyer talking to the public. I dropped after the 1st five minutes of episode 2 when they had not begun the episode yet. Does it get better? Is it worth keeping on?
