Personally, I think it's the best audio course that I've used. I've tried Michel Thomas and Pimsleur.

I would have to say that AllTalk is sort of like Pimsleur in terms of repetition and sort of like MT in terms of introducing some nice vocabulary.

What it does is is tells a story basically. For example, the French one is about a British businessman sent to France to meet up with a French representative.

The course is 16 hours long and each lesson is an hour long. They claim that it introduces 2000 words with this course alone.

Has anyone else used this product before?

EDIT: Sorry, I think this was meant to be in the Language Programs forum.

I used this course a long time ago. It was enjoyable but I didn't retain very much of the vocabulary. I don't think it lends itself well to repeat listening.

I am using Italian version i can say it is quite good; I would rate Pimsleur and Michel
Thomas higher then Linguaphone but it is not bad either. Italian version is about a
British lady going to Italy and she really has a nice voice !

I found the English speaking 'tutor' voice to sound too much like a bad but well educated
salesman. It put me off, but I still got through 13 cds of the German course. Can't say
it helped my German however, but it might be useful of I had taken it more seriously.
