The English manual edition is made now with cds, but same course. I recommend this course for learning Russian. One of the best self-study course for Russian. 1 person has voted this message useful | ||||||||||||

I figured I must've just come across it at some point on this site. Would you care to expand at all on why it is so good? It looks like I can get it for around $30, but my Assimil Russian just came in the mail and my used Pimsleur and Michel Thomas are on the way, so I'm not sure if there is still a gap that it'd help to fill? Elexi, I have some questions for you:
1) Are the "New Format (for Business Use)" meant for beginners or are they some sort of follow-up to the 30 lessons courses from the 1970s? 2) Are they similar to the "Second Stage" courses? 3) Have you used any of the New Format or Second Stage courses?
