Just wondering, I don't know if they has already been answered because I haven't read the thread, but what if you read the Bible in your target language? How many books would that be worth?

I'm thinking at least 4.

I've heard it takes 70 hours to read the English translation of the Bible.

I may start out with an all-day Harry Potter Movie marathon (Spanish soundtrack, no subtitles) just to break out of the starting gate with a bang! Besides I have to make up for not being able to do anything on Wednesday because that's my Spanish class day and I'll have homework to do.

I'm so excited! Thank a million Solfrid for dreaming up this challenge!

I think it's easier to just add the books and movies to a spreadsheet with the title in one column and pages / minutes in another, and by the end of the 20 months divide the total number of pages with 250 and the number of minutes with 90...

Then we are within a 20 minuts drive from each other, so you can borrow the films I have - they are not many, but you are welcome to the ones I have got :-)

Deichmanske bibliotek

And they have about 15 books - I am sure they can get more.

The Ukrainian Embassy in Norway may also be able to help you out, and possibly The Ukrainian society in Norway. I have been member for a while and they are not terribly active, but if you contact them I am sure they know someone who has books in Ukrainian.

If everything else fails I have an old study pal of mine who is a Ukraine expert, so he might have some books.
