The competition has now closed and we're awaiting the official announcement from the Goethe Institue to read who won. A big thank you to everyone who voted, your support has been overwhelming. We're keeping our fingers crossed for you, Richard! :)

Is anyone else anxious for the Goethe Institute to finally make their announcement?

I might have!

Spoonerisms, malapropisms and general malarkey were the norm .....

We then found bullsh*t bingo: you were given 5 words or phrases any you weave them into the narrative.....

Or the first letter of each sentence spells out a rude word .....

I know it's childish but was fun at the time.

They have now made the announcement, and Torbyrne is now officially their Ambassador of Multilingualism.

Congratulations to him, and thanks to all who supported him on his well-deserved success.

[EDIT: Sorry, just noticed that Torbyrne has also announced his success in another thread]

It is a good thing that that conference gets an exceptionally well qualified person to deliver a speech, but the question is whether the rest of the conference can live up to his standard. The setup of the competition and their low-content homepage don't look too promising - Torbyrne will in all likelihood be the most qualified participant there.
