How do Danish native speakers normally refer to e-books when talking to other Danish
native speakers?

Do they use "e-book" (or other English-based variant), or a Danish word?

Thank you.

...And on a not so related note, what do you call streaming video (a stream)?

Well, when I was searching for Danish e-books, they seemed to come up as "e-bøger" on most websites. Also, on
a related note, audio books are usually called "lydbøger".

e-böcker in Swedish, in analogy with e-post. Streaming is most often referred to as streaming, en stream, but the
Swedish word and cognate is ström, or perhaps better, videoström, to stream, att strömma.

OK, that might explain it as I wasn't finding anything when I searched for "e-boger"
(with a normal "o" not "ø"). I'm always a bit wary of using non-English characters on
searches etc. :)   I also might have been looking in the wrong place.

what search engine do you use?
with www.google.dk , "e-bøger" is actually suggested when you type in "e-boger"

Yeah, Google is pretty good at predicting what you're looking for, whether you spell it right or not.
