EQ settings to revive tapes

Can anyone help me out with good general EQ settings for mastering language cassette
tapes when they are converted to MP3. I find that second cassettes are often dulled by
years in a box - trouble is, I am terrible with EQs.    - I am using either Reaper or
Goldwave (I find Audacity's interface to difficult to be able to get along with).

I have had the best luck using Spin it agian software. If you do not get the results you want give it a try.
