Could you recommend me Swedish singers/bands? I'm looking for some acoustic, lyrical,
melodic music with a clear vocal. Maybe my choice of adjectives is not very accurate (I usually struggle with describing music) but I mean something close to e.g. Herbert Grönemeyer, Grzegorz Turnau, Jeroen Van Der Boom, Xavier Naidoo (if you know any of these singers). Is this something like what you're looking for?
LArs Winnerbäck & Miss LI - Om du lämnade mig nu Miss Li sings mostly in English, but you can find a lot of great lyrical Swedish songs by Winnerbäck. Here's maybe the most famous: Hum hum från Humlegården. It's a cover, but it's still his most famous. My personal favourite is Solen i ögonen, though it's less "acoustic", maybe. Other artists to try: Lisa Ekdal Säkert Veronica Maggio Maybe not the genre, but perhaps you'll like Timbuktu (it's in the Scania dialect, though, so maybe a bit hard to understand) And of course, check out our national troubarour Cornelis Vreeswijk Maybe possibly Nordman? 2 persons have voted this message useful | |

search for "Garmarna" at youtube

Thank you for all your suggestions! If you have any more ideas, I would very much
appreciate it: I want to find something I would really fall in love with, and love is complicated ;). So far, I've enjoyed Lisa Ekdahl and Timbuktu most. "Om du lämnade mig nu" is quite close to what I'm looking for, indeed. Less lyrical would work too. I have to give Lars Winnerbäck another try: I found him before and didn't really like his music; I might have chosen all the wrong songs, though. I'm definitely going to listen a bit more to Cornelis Vreeswijk, too. Haven't found anything I would really love yet but I generally like this kind of music. I really like Cornelis vs Riedel, which is an album of previously unrecorded Vreeswijk texts set to the compositions of jazz bassist Georg Riedel and sung by his daughter, Sarah Riedel, and Nicolai Dugner. Here are two of the songs: 1, 2. The rest can be found on Spotify, if I'm not mistaken. I should mention that there are several more cheerful songs on the album, as well. :-)
