Hello,
Some of you might have seen my Dutch log. Now that I am studying more than one
language, I think that this log will again, help me with motivation. So, without
further a due, let's get started. :D

Russian
I have absolutely NO background in Russian. Right now, I own a copy of Teach Yourself
Russian Script. Along with this, I am waiting for a copy of Teach Yourself Russian to
come in. Along with this, I have a copy of Complete Russian and Ultimate Russian from
my local library.

Dutch
In Dutch, I would guess I am a high-beginner to a low-intermediate. I currently study
this language the most, as it is the one I have been studying the longest. I own a copy
of Teach Yourself Dutch, Essential Dutch Grammar, Teach Yourself Dutch Conversation,
Colloquial Dutch, and I am waiting for Teach Yourself Dutch Dictionary to come into the
mail. I type to friends everyday who live in the Netherlands, but am searching for
people to speak to, so I can get some practice.

Hungarian
In about 8 months, I plan on being in Hungary for about 3 weeks. Before I go, I would
like to be in a somewhat conversational level in this language. I have a very close,
and good friend who is from Hungary, and speaks it fluently. Currently, I have spent
zero time in the language, however plan to, once my copy of Teach Yourself Hungarian
comes in the mail here in the next few days.

Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian
I just starting studying this language with regularity recently. Although my motivation
is very slim, I still pick up the book, and read to learn. I have a good friend who is
from Bosnia, and she helps me with the language. Currently, I do not own any books, but
if my motivation has a heightening, I will purchase a copy of Teach Yourself Croatian.
Right now, I use a copy of Teach Yourself Serbo-Croatian from my local library.

Thank you all for reading this first post. I plan to update it as I study, and may even
post interesting facts I have learned in the day.

For tonight, I took it easy.

Studied Chapter 4 for Dutch in Teach Yourself for 45 minutes.
I also studied the first chapter of Ultimate Russian for about 30 minutes.

Hey
Good luck with your studies, especially with Hungarian which I regard as a tough language to learn. Take a look at RT language course maybe you'll enjoy it (you do not have to register).

I spent about 45 minutes today speaking with natives with Italki. (Dutch)

That concludes my study for today, and will not be studying anymore today.

Bumping to top. Will participate in TAC 2013 with Russian and Croatian. However, will
still be intensely studying Hungarian and Dutch. Will be going over to Europe in the
summer of 2013, and will practice and speak only in these languages!

Hi, team mate! Ii look forward to being on your team, and to read your introduction in the Team MIR thread. I
am starting from absolute scratch in Greek, like you do in Russian, so I know that feeling :-)
