Yet another song for "parallel" listening:
Slovene
German (Styrian)

Very fitting for the current situation in Greece...

Are you close enough to Slovenia to have more access to radio / tv / natives / other
resources? Just from looking through italki profiles it doesn't seem like an overwhelming
number of Slovenes are in Austria, which was a bit of a surprise to me, though it's
hardly a representative sample.

Nope, I'm about as far away from Slovenia as you can be in Austria, and at the moment
I'm even abroad.
We have a Slovene speaking minority mainly in south-eastern Carinthia and a few in
lower Styria, but they are rapidly declining in numbers due to assimilation.
There are two regional programs on Austrian TV each Sunday I think, one in Carinthian
ORF, one in Styrian ORF, but they are accessible on
http://tvthek.orf.at
worldwide for 7 days after having been aired. These programs first give you short news in
German and then the more elaborate version in Slovene with video, interviews etc. You
can search for "Dober dan" on that site.

Maybe I'll find some interesting material in that list I haven't consumed yet ... :)

Dual in Slovene pronouns is a bit weird. At first it looks very logical, you take the
plural form and add the (gendered) word for two. So "vi" --> "vidva", "ve" -->
"vedve", etc.
BUT in the 3rd person, it looks different. Plural forms are oni/one/ona, but dual
forms are onadva/onidve. You still see the gender in the form of "two", but the vowel
of the first part has changed. It doesn't seem to be the genitive though, which would
have made more sense (two of them / derer zwei).
