Great breakthrough, Cristina!

Congratulations and keep doing what you’re doing, because it works! And good for you that you have colleagues that you can talk (or force, if needs be) into becoming your Russian learning buddies.

Either I am getting senile, or Russian is waaaaay more difficult than German.

Well, I would say the opposite :D But that's all about the similarities to our native tongues.

@ogrim: Thanks for the encouragement! I do intend to return to Greek -I just need to find a few minutes to do
it. Of course by now, I need to relearn the alphabet again. Like in Russian. Three steps forward and two back
- or three back...

@Thanks - I am feeling pretty good right now :-)

@prz: Most probably :-)

Soooo, the bad news is that I have not registered anything on the 6wc for the last month, so that is a goner,
the good news is that even so I have been very active with both Russian and German classes, so progress
has been made. I met a Russian teacher I had not seen for 6 months (since I was unable to take any classes
all Spring), and she said I had made lots of progress since we last spoke.

Tomorrow I am off to Spain, so even though I will mostly speak English at the meetings, I will get to speak
some Spanish. And since I basically feel like a fish on land when I am out of Spain, and like a fish in water
when I am in Spain, even the mere 48 hours I will be there should do me the world of good. A guy I once met
said that I changed personality when I spoke Spanish, that I became more smiling and sweet, and two of my
pupils who I took to an excursion to Spain, said I became more free and happier looking. Where others need
a drink or a shot of something, I just need a day or two in Spain :-)

3 steps forward and 2 steps back sounds like fine progress. Now if you can just throw a few verbs of motion in there, leave all the word stress behind, and dim the lighting to reveal new subtle aspects of this language, it'll soon be time to do the Russian salsa!

I hope you get plenty of time around meetings to drink in the sunshine and swim in Spanish conversation too. Bon voyage, sis! :D
