My four year old son has recently starting using some Spanish words that he learned from Dora the Explorer. Does anyone know of something age appropriate that I can play for him in the car? I guesss ideally it would be some music designed for kids learning Spanish though I am open to other suggestions.

Check out "Little Pim." It is Pimsleur for little kids about that age. My son did it and liked it when he was five and I recall thinking it was good for him, but, unfortunately, I don't really remember too much about it.

He also did a program called "Super Gato" which had audio, songs and a follow along book.

You are right about music. The songs in Spanish seemed to work best for my son. There are also a lot of good CDs with songs. I found a great one at my local library and he loved it.

There's a good series of language learning songs called "Lyric Language", made by Living
Language I think. A long time ago I made flashcards of all the words in the German
version, and it contained about 450 different words in total. Each line of the song is
sung in one language, then repeated in the other. At first, the foreign words just sound
like nonsense, but with repeated listening more and more words become clear.
