I just came across a site called Refugee Health Information Network. Granted, it's not riveting reading but they have a variety of short pdf bilingual texts available in several languages.
Boring isn't for everyone, but if you want to read without a dictionary and are having trouble finding bilingual texts, you can make your own from these sources and actually learn a thing or two, maybe even get more health conscience as an added bonus.
For example, Medline Plus NIH has a variety of topics with bilingual pdf's: Exercise and Physical Fitness has a six page bilingual Engish and TL text available in Amharic (amarunya), Arabic (العربية), Bosnian (Bosanski), Chinese - Simplified (简体中文), Chinese - Traditional (繁體中文), French (français), Hindi (हिन्दी), Hmong (Hmoob), Japanese (日本語), Khmer (Khmer), Oromo (Afaan Oromo), Portuguese (português), Russian (Русский), Somali (af Soomaali), Spanish (español), Tagalog (Tagalog), Tigrinya (tigrinya) and Vietnamese (Tiếng Việt)
You can easily make the bilingual texts side by side by copying and pasting the text from the pdf into a word/open office doc with a two column/one row table inserted.

For my search results in RHIN, one of the display options was to have a "split screen" format, with the pages
for each language both appearing side by side. - Very handy.
Thanks, Iguanamon.
