Has anyone been to the Assimil central bookstore in Paris (11, rue des Pyramides)? I guess one can find all the language material that's been published by them since 1929.

I'm drooling...I didn't know there was an Assimil bookstore and I'm heading to Paris next month! Has anyone been here? What's it like?

Whoh.. I'm going to Paris in two weeks. I'm going to check this out. If it really does have the old books.. this is a treasure trove.
EDIT: Awesome.. that's close to the Louvre. I'm so there.

I have been to the Assimil bookstore located along rue des pyramides when I was still living in Paris 2 years ago...it's a pretty small shop (actually, surprisingly small, to be honest), but they seem to have all the new versions of Assimil products on display, and not the old versions of the Assimil programs.
For example, when I enquired for the Indonesian Assimil, the lady (the shop is only big enough for one sales person, hence u can imagine how small the shop really is) opened a drawer, and in there is a copy of Indonesian Assimil, along with other languages. Hence, I presume that you have to enquire if you need the old versions...

I never got in because they were closed the day I went. It hardly mattered though because I went to a FNAC instead, and they seemed to have every one of the new Assimil courses. It was awesome...
