I'm doing high school Japanese and am currently assisting myself with Pimsleur Japanese. Am I able to use it alongside Michel Thomas Total Japanese?

This combination has confused me too. In theory it seems great, but if you have to learn from reading/writing courses as well, it feels a but too much.
For me, ideally, it's a good combination, because they help you out in different ways, both useful.

I found both Pimsleur and MT were a useful way to fill the commute with Japanese. MT is
much shorter but admits that grammar exists so I'm glad I did that one first. (I've not
tried the MT "advanced" course though).
Pimsleur is much longer but throws things at you without much in the way of explanation.
It is very good for getting you to speak though.

I started my study of French with MT Basic, then followed with Pimsleur level 1. It was helpful, although even all levels of both added together are far from being a complete course. I'd recommend also doing Assimil and L-R.
