"Should" implies that there is a right way to act, which is silly. You should do what you want to do.

Personally, I never rewind anything 3-5 times when I watch. That's just too boring for me. I do sometimes put on L2 subtitles when I am having trouble understanding and sometimes even pause the movie so I can read them, but mostly I just let things slide. As others have said you'll undoubtedly hear the the word again.
