I started to learn French last month. Its probably the most useful language for me to
learn, but I can't keep my interest up. The main language that I am considering to
change it to is Urdu. I like the native materials, and I have some contact with Urdu
speaking communities in the U.S.A. I am also interested in how Persian relates to
Urdu. Maybe I could do both. Somehow I feel like using the extra materials for
learning Persian could help me to get around learning the Hindi script. I'm not
against learning the Hindi script, but I would be more interested in using the Hindi
courses to learn Urdu.
What languages would you recommend that I learn from:
Urdu
Hindi
Persian

I went ahead and bought the TY Beginner's Hindi. Some of the other posts recommended it as good introductory course. I think that it has roman letters, so I won't have to learn the Hindi script, at least not yet.
