In Berlin at the Polyglot Gathering 2015 I had lots of fun talking to:

I could not have given any identifying details if you had given me a million bucks. I cannot for the life of me remember anyone who said hi to me without me answering back, nor having spoken to anyone from Switzerland, but half the time I was running from one lecture to another. At one point there was a guy who called me by name, and asked if I was a member of some group I did not catch the name of. I was running towards room three, knowing that I would have to stand for the next two hours if I did not get there in time, and was so stressed out that I just answered that I did not think so and ran further. Only a couple of minutes later did it click that he had said HTLAL, so I searched for him for the next couple of hours - and asked every guy who looked remotely like him if he was the guy who had talked to me earlier (not feeling particularly intelligent accosting a dozen unknown men who denied having talked to me). I found him in the end, gave him a good hug and he joined me at the first part of the lecture I was at. I also asked the others if there were any more HTLALers around, and no one said anything about Volte being there. I have wanted to get to know her for years! I talked to every member of HTAL I managed to identify, and as you may recall I asked if there was any possibility to have a little HTAL-meeting. . Lots of people came up to me and asked if I was Cristina, having seen me at the video with Richard, and I had a chat with every single one, and gave my calling card to a few and was connected through Facebook with a lot more. I do not understand how she managed not to talk to me if she knew who I was. 2 persons have voted this message useful |
